Privacy Policy — IBHA Backup Automation

This page describes the privacy practices for the internal automation tool used by the International Big History Association (IBHA) to back up bighistory.org.
What this application does
This is an internal administrative tool used solely by IBHA’s IT administrator to automate off-site backups of the bighistory.org website. It is not a public-facing product, and it is not intended for use by the general public.
Data accessed
This application requests access to Google Drive solely to store and retrieve encrypted backup archives of bighistory.org’s website files and databases. It does not access, read, or process the content of any other files in the connected Google Drive account, and it does not access email, contacts, calendar, or any other Google service.
How data is used
Backup files are uploaded to a designated Google Drive folder for off-site storage and disaster recovery purposes only. No data obtained through this application is sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party.
Data retention
Backup files are retained according to IBHA’s internal backup rotation policy and are deleted or overwritten as part of that rotation.
